Issac Mizrahi and Kelly Rowland host this knockoff Project Runway. The designers are lackluster to say the least and the designs are uninspired and unoriginal just like the concept of the show in its entirety. Half of the designers can't sew. What is that about?!?!? Issac ok he has fashion criidentials but Kelly Rowland, her fashion expertise came from??? On the upside it's always nice to have fashion glory or the pursit thereof on television. So I'm still on the fence, but tune in Thursday's at 10pm on Bravo and you be the judge.
keohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06587038530542923616noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2001584650563960356.post-24464315555240477092009-05-24T12:36:00.000-07:002009-05-24T13:16:28.307-07:00Trend Report: Polynesian ParadiseThis summer the trend report is in, and the verdict is Polynesian prints are IN. But I also realize that my budget can't always handle the latest high-priced item, and for this reason I love a sale. I recently found two websites that offer their versions of sample sales but online. These are private sales that last for short periods of time or as long as the merchandise does. The prices start at 50% off of retail value and there are legitimate designer items available. The first site is www.glit.com and the second is www.hautelook.com. Both sites are free to register for and offer $25 for each friend referral. Our next First Lady has been stylistically compared to the likes of the legendary Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis which is a huge honor and creates high expectations for Mrs. Obama. The fashion world is on pins and needles as we anxiously await the huge decision. The First Lady To Be's choice will make a statement, and it will likely guide the course of American Fashion over they next few seasons. If she sticks with her usual M.O. the dress will be elegant but not overly extravagant. With designers from Karl Lagerfeld to Betsey Johnson submitting designs, so tough decisions must be made but I'm sure Mrs. Obama won't disapoint. Some of my favorites include a boatneck, cap sleeve Marc Jacobs, the asymetrical, belted waist Michael Kors and Monique Lhuillier gowns, and the more elegant play on the traditional DVF rap dress. I am particularly a fan of reality t.v. and two shows that will definatly bring the style and fresh looks for the new year: MTV's Daddy's Girls and The City. Daddy's Girls is a spinoff of the popular Run's House starring Rev. Run Simmons and his family. Daddy's Girls will star Vanessa and Angela Simmons and highlight there life in LA. The City is a spinoff of The Hills. Former Hills cast member Whitney is moving to the Big Apple to accept a position with Diane von Furstenberg. The song + styling + B = hotness. Some of the more editorial looks are reminiscent of Gareth Pugh's Spring 2009 Paris collection with its futuristic designs, uses of leather, and meticulous styling.
